KB835732 news?

Anyone know if MS has fixed the "patch of death" yet? I noticed the MS
bulletin has an updated date of April 23rd. I am reluctant to try it
though. Has anyone figured out how to make it work? I am running McAfee
4.5.1.

I just reinstalled the patch today after having SEVERE
problems from earlier. I still get the same problems. 100%
CPU load on the System process. Taking 20 minutes to boot
into Windows, etc. I am in the process of removing the
patch again in Safe Mode.

This is ridiculous. I cannot believe that Microsoft is not
doing anything about this.

BTW, running Windows 2K Pro.

I heard from Microsoft about 1 WEEK after the patch
crashed my system. Only wanted to help me get my system
back up, like a week later is a timely response. I had
the patch out an hour after installing it. Said they knew
they had a problem but wouldn't say anything about when to
expect an updated patch or what to do about the security
holes in the meantime.

Win2k pro here too. I fortunately made a Ghost clone of my primary on an
external HDD and was able to restore it. Oh well - guess I can live without
it until they fix it.

Went to windowsupdate.com today to see if there was a new release of
KB835732. Let it scan my computer. Can back with "there are no updates for
your computer at this time." Did they pull KB835732?
