My computer was also disabled by KB835732. After Windows Automatic
Update installed the latest critical updates, I experienced the
reported extraordinarily long boot times. The computer continually
rebooted itself when W2k finally came up. I was lucky enough to be
able to boot in safe mode and uninstall KB835732 through Add/Remove
Programs.
I have an ABIT MB, 1 Ghz PIII, scanner on an Adaptec SCSI card, DSL
connection.
Interestingly, the Windows Automatic Update came up today on my
computer at work and the offending KB835732 was removed from the
update list.
