Hi,

Installing KB835732 kills auto standby and I assume other power saving
states. This has been noted by several others in this and other NG's. I've
verified this by installing and uninstalling KB835732 several times. My
computer is verified ACPI compliant by MS test. So we're open to a security
flaw or waste power. Is there a verified fix yet? Thanks.

Hi

I have exactly the same problem, now I have uninstalled
KB835732 and auto standby now works well. I have
strengthened by firewall, and hope MS will come up with a
solution quickly.
