KB82086

[Gasman]

XP Home on a HP laptop

Windows update keeps telling me that an update KB82086 needs
installing.

Its a Windows media player patch.

I tell it to install, it appears to do so, but is not in the list of
hotfixes, and keeps telling me to install it again.

How do I get it installed or stop it nagging me?

Prevent Windows Update from prompting you to install a Hotfix
you know is already installed:
