Does anybody know if it is possible to listen to a piece of music before
downloading from Kazaa?

Yes, download it from somewhere else first.

Like Mike said, no way, but you can go to a local retail outlet and they may
have a tape, cassette, or CD you can listen to. Or you can try a file swap at
the below website:

Why would anyone download something from a web site that has a malware app.
as the first thing you see???

The best way to download music and be assured you won't get trojan horses,
malware, spyware, or any other unwanted files is to download the MP3 files
from the newsgroups.
Don't do this with outlook express. Many binary files are Yenc format, which
Outlook Exress does not decode. XNews is a great newsreader.

if you have msn or aol for an ISP, unfortunately you don't have access to
them unless you subscribe to a newgroup service. I use ASTRAWEB, and get
unlimited downloads for $10 a month.
