Hello,

I'm using XP Home SP2. Kazaa 2.6 worked before installing the SP2 for XP.
Now when I start it up, it puts an icon in the systray but doesn't open and
then must shut down cuz when I put the mouse over the icon in the systray,
the icon goes away.

Any suggestions how to get it to work? Same thing with 3.0 and whether or
not windows firewall is enabled.

Regards,
Bob Brannon

Sure,
Kazza installs spyware and adware, and when the files it installed are no
longer present or are modified, Kazaa will not run. Installing SP2a modified
those files, making them legitimate correft files, and not spyware ones.
Kazaa most likely detected the change and will not work until you reinstall
it, which I wouldnt recommend. Use a program with less adware/spyware, such
as limewire, or something of that sort if you must. Most file sharing
programs install spyware, etc. Install Microsoft Antispyware and see for
yourself.

Hope this helps,
Jim
