I have kazaa in my computer, yet can't get rid of it no
matter what.
It says "access denied" eventhough we have the only
administrator log in.

Also: How come none of the adware/spyware detect programs
including MS Beta 1 find Kazaa and destroy it?

Thanks for any help!

Kazaa it self is not considered spyware. Kazaa comes
bundled with all sorts of spyware, adware etc. Try going
to control panel--->Add/remove programs----> then select
kazaa for removal. Then run a MS antispyware to rid your
system of leftover spyware.

The uninstall wouldn't work for me. The only way I got rid of it was
deleting the directory, shortcuts, and purging the registry of all Kazaa
links.

Unistall: does not show the program
delete: message appears: " unable to delete - no access
rights" (I am the only user - admin)

What version of Windows?

You might try restarting in safe mode and signing in as "administrator"

In this mode you should be able to take ownership of anything that needs
deleting, even if the uninstall option doesn't work directly.

In XP Home, I believe you can only take ownership when logged in as
administrator in safe mode.
