I am using xp after downloading Kazaa I began receiving
constant popups. I downloaded a program to delete all of
Kazaa's components but it has done no good. If you know
anything about how to put an end to the popups that
appear as soon as I connect to the internet I would
appreciate the help

Get KazaaBegone.

Get and run SpyBot Search and Destroy and update its reference file
frequently.

YoKenny,

Kazaa Be Gone should be enough in the instance but the remaining recommendation is
good measure, for sure :-)

Thanks,

siljaline,
Kazza's list of "included bundled spyware" (that's a phrase huh? ;)
changes all the time, so a follow-up with Ad-Aware or SpyBot is
required, with a clean-up with HijackThis ......

Note: I don't think "KazaaBegone" is kept up-to-date?

Mike,
FYI - in the "begone" zip:
BDE.def - Brilliant Digital
Commonname.def - Commonname
Cydoor.def - Cydoor
Delfin.def - Delfin
Kazaa.def - Kazaa
Medialoads.def - Medialoads
Newdotnet.def - New Dot Net
Onflow.def - Onflow
"Other.def" - A variable definition for "unknowns"? -
Savenow.def - Savenow
Webhancer.def - Webhancer

Comment - Merijn is pretty on-the-ball, up to date, my feeling is yes but
a thorough cleanup following the tool, for good measure.
Kazaa *is* offering a non-infested version, btw - would I try it? Yeah, sure ;)
