Hi,
I was getting Kazaa as part of my daily spyware report
and the threat was marked as moderate. I took no action
on the item and left the threat marked as ignore for a
couple of days. At this point everything was good.
Yesterday, I decided that Kazaa may be the reason why
some spyware viruses were coming back so I decided to
quarantine the item. Anti-Spyware created a quarantine
folder with the files that I had downloaded from the
internet ( i.e. /program files/kazaa/my folder ). They
were mostly short clips and music.
When I found out that the quarantine had renamed and
moved these files, I used the un-quarantine option. I saw
the folder restored. However, for some reason that folder
was deleted permanently from my system later that day. So
I no longer have Kazaa nor my personnal files folder.
I tried to look at the reports, but they do not mention
any action taken on the restored files.
I have a trial version of Norton Anti-Virus on my system.
No log shows that those files were deleted in the NAV
logs either.
I am not saying that I should be using Kazaa, but I am
suspecting there are many users out there that will mix
the 2 products and get frustrating results as well.
