Hi,

Im currently using AVG 6.0 and I also use the free scanner/cleaner from
Trend once in while to make sure AVG dint forget something.

But since march, I have lots of problems getting the updates.

So now I want to buy an anti-virus that I can rely on (update servers always
available is a must).

So is Kaspersky a good choice ?

Is therea anything better ?

Tx

Symantec corporate. E-trust and F-Prot are equally as good detecting
viruses, worms, trojans and will utilize much less RAM and will also yield
less false positives.

On the contrary kaspersky is quite light and it finds v e r y seldom
false positives. Nothing can hide from it.

Microsoft has a free trial that is good for a year,
It includes etrust antivirus and a firewall.

I recently saw a really bad review of F-Prot (a few months ago). They have a
new version out ?

no thanks, I will stay with AVG before trying that. Reviews of etrust are
terrible btw.

there are bad reviews available for all anti-virus products...

Pure garbage. Good large scale test results consistently show that
KAV, and the products such as F-Secure and AVK that use the KAV scan
engine, are top notch in all categories .... including fp testing. The
McAfee scan engine is also top notch. The products you mention aren't
bad but they aren't in the same class as KAV.
