Hi

I recently helped a friend do a new clean install of WinXP and other apps. I
also installed the Kaspersky Internet Security Suite trial.

She regularly uses Sage for her book keeping work but inexplicably found
that it refused to start on her fresh new system. She spent an hour and a
half on the phone to Sage tech support. The only positive outcome of this
was dicovering that the only way she was able to get Sage to start was when
booting into safe mode!

I deduced from this that there must be something loading during Windows
startup to cause this.

Using msconfig and trial and error I eventually found that by disabling the
Kaspersky spam test from the startup group that Sage would then run.

So just wondered if anyone else has come across this problem? Is there a way
for the two to coexist?

Thanks for any info.

Is there not a way to allow certain traffic within the spam blocker
module? If not, it seems to me to be a issue to raise with Kaspersky.
