From 1999, I have used "Antiviral Toolkit Pro" by Eugene Kaspersky
( version 3.0 build 124 ) and have gotten to simply love it for its
simplicity and hassle free zipped file downloadable updates provided
as "daily.zip", "weekly.zip" and "cumul.zip"
My last sucessful update using "cumul.zip" was on 31.01.2006 (163666
viruses) ....
The problem I am having is that "AVP" updates after 31.01.2006 result
in the 'AVP' program displaying - "illegal operation" ... "_AVP32
caused an invalid page fault in module AVPBASE.DLL at 01bf:10001842
etc.......
Could someone please suggest a solution or advise?
TIA

Think maybe it's time you updated your software, as your current version is
way too old for today's viruses. Suggest you take a look at KAV6 which you
can trial to ascertain whether you like it or not. Am sure you will receive
plenty of alternatives in the meantime.

old pc are still best use the 3.5
during the test ,new version are hurt the pc

you could do a avp 3.0to 3.5 update
or
update the engine files

Good old version 3.5 is also now pretty much incompatible with current
updates. The "oldie but goodie" KAVDOS32 works ok but, of course,
it is strictly on-demand. I think the new KAV 6 is a real winner, and
I strongly recommend it. Last I looked, it is due to be released this
month (May). You can download a trial from here:
