Kaspersky AV Personal 5 suddenly won't download updates ?

has anyone else experienced this problem today ?

the latest "weekly update" is available
but KAV doesn't want to update properly

according to the dialog box - the update size is 271KB

it downloads about 43KB and then seems to lose connection -
tries repeatedly, finally gives up - and displays the error message:
"Error occurred during the task execution"

nothing significant has been changed on the PC since the last weekly update
( and the KAV license is still valid... )

RESULT:

it seems to have been an error at Kaspersky.com

just tried an update again -
this time KAV 5 saw the update size as 45KB -
and updated without a problem
