If I dump PC-Cillin in favor of Kaspersky's 'Personal 5.0', is it going to
protect the PC from malware that sits on the PC and issues web hits to keep
people's visit counters up?

Are there other types of malware that I need tb concerned about if 'Personal
5.0' is all I'm doing to install?

Bottom line, is 'Personal 5.0' enough?

I've got a LinkSys router with NAT enabled.

It's a good idea to use SpyBot and AdAware as well as a top notch av
such as KAV. While KAV and some other av are increasingly adding
detections for spyware and adware and other kinds of malicious code,
it's worthwhile to do a scan with the specialised spyware products
mentioned once in awhile.

If you want extra protection you can use the extended database which is
under settings/threat and exclusions. The default is standard database. It
protects you from more malware.

Spyware Blaster is another favorite. Free.
