Can someone tell me if Kaspersky 3.5, which I am very satisfied with, will
work with Windows XP as I am presently with Win 98. If not will the version
4.5 do the job ?

Thanks in advance.

I just have a look at the trial version of Kasperky 5.0 on WinXP SP1
and am deeply impressed by the user interface which has become as
comfortable as that of Norton and is more beautiful.

I could not get it to work on XP Pro & installed 4.5. It was a
resource hog and I removed it and retrieved my past performance. Not
sure about the latest version on XP though.

I was not successful using Kaspersky 3.5 with Windows XP, however I
have seen messages from others who were successful. I am now using
the new Kaspersky 5.0 with XP and I really like it. It does not use
up the resources of your system like version 4.5 did. Give it a try.

Just curious what your failure symptoms were with 3.5 on XP Pro. I have
been using it, first with FAT32 and more recently with NTFS and am not
aware of any problems.

I use KAV 3.5.133.0 (or AVP, if you will) as a backup to NOD32 on my
XP Pro Box. Updates and scans flawlessly for me.

It just refused to run. I am using NTFS.

I'm quite happy to go to the latest version (5 I think), but not sure
how it is with XP. I've been a long time AVP/KAV user, and have always
been happy with it.
