Kana Launcher program

I have downloaded and am using Kana Launcher program to launch my other
programs which put icons in the tray area. I thought this program would
reduce the clutter of having so many icons along the bottom but, no, the
icons still go there and indeed there is one more now and that is Launcher
itself.
I thought I read in the original post here that the person required a prog
to clear from view all those icons of running programs. And this one was
recommended.
If there is such a program I would be very interested.
