k8v-se-d and 5.1 audio

I installed my new Logitech Z640 5.1 speakers to my new system, and can't
get the center speaker to work right. The system is set up for 6 speaker,
so the Front/Sub is plugged in to the blue/line in jack. The sub is working
right, but the front speaker is muted. The speaker is ok, because it sounds
fine if plugged in to a different jack.

My suspicion is that there's a problem with my blue/line in jack. Anyone
else experience something similar with a 5.1 setup?

In the speaker wizard, see if there is a "swap center/sub" button.
Speaker sets differ in how center/sub are wired. Some cables are
center/sub, and others are sub/center. The check box in the speaker
wizard allows the wiring to be reversed via the chip.

At least that is what I can vaguely see in the Soundmax manual. The
pictures in the manual are low res, so it is pretty hard to read the
text in that picture.

When the front speaker is fed a sub signal, all the frequency content
is low frequency, below its response range. That is what my guess
is based on.

This problem was first run into on the A7N8X, and there, a separate
application, called nvswap, was used.
