I have two Kingston 512M memory sticks.
I installed them on bank 1 and 2.
Is it OK ?
Or I have to install on 1 and 3 bank ?
Thanx

Open your user manual. See section 1.7.2 "Memory configurations".
There is a table, called "Table 1".
Line 18 of the table, shows the best configuration for
the board, which is to place DIMMs in slot 1 and slot 3. Using
slot 1 and slot 3, allows a DDR400 transfer rate to be
used with two DIMMs.

No matter which slots you use, remember to apply enough
voltage to the RAM, to have it work well. If the BIOS
has a Vdimm setting, give the RAM at least 2.6V when running
at DDR400 speeds. Most RAM will handle up to 2.8V or so,
and the Asus BIOS usually limits the RAM voltage to safe
levels.

And test with the "memtest86" test program from memtest.org .
This is a free testing program. The program will format a
blank floppy diskette for you, and put the self-booting test
code on it. The floppy will not have a normal file system,
so you cannot list the contents of the floppy, once it has
been prepared. Set the boot order to "floppy first", insert
the floppy, and boot from it.

To be acceptable, _no_ errors are allowable.
