I have Sil RAID 0 running with two Hitachi 80GB SATA drives on my
K8N-E Deluxe. I also have a DVD ROM, a CD-RW, and a floppy drive.
The BIOS never recognizes more than one optical drive, but Windows XP
sees them both and they both work correctly.
The BIOS always recognizes the floppy drive, but the floppy drive
is not visible to Windows XP unless I disconnect one of the optical
drives.
I have tried the following cabling/jumper variants:
1. Both opticals on Secondary IDE controller as Cable Select
2. Both opticals on Secondary IDE as Master/Slave
3. One optical on Primary IDE as Master and the other on Secondary IDE
as Master
In no case does the BIOS recognize more than one optical drive, and in
no case does it recognize a drive on the Primary IDE controller.
Is there a way to get two opticals and a floppy working on my
system?
Any help appreciated.
