What is the last freeware version? I have 1.3.0.196, but it is buggy and
often refuses to work. If there is no newer version, could you recommend an
alternative, or a download link for an older version?

==> Try deleting and then reinstalling it. It's not buggy on any of my
machines and I've used various editions of it for over 2 years.
