Hi there:
Just want to make sure I understand what is happening when I use the "fill"
options from the background tab. If I use the "fill" option and ask it to
use a jpg as the "fill" object - is it actually replacing the background on
the slide template or is it just placing a layer over top?

Thanks,

Sparky

If you are in View > Master > Slide Master and you use a JPG in Format >
Background > Fill Effects > Picture, it sets the background for a template.
If you are in View > Normal and do the same thing and select "Apply", it
sets the background for a single slide. It doesn't change the background
for the template, just for the selected slide. If instead you select "Apply
All", it changes the background for the template as well.

Sonia:
Right - so what you are saying is that the jpg "replaces" the
background. This is the effect I want - so that nothing else has the
opportunity of loading up on a slide when I change from slide 1 to 2.
Thanks for being up so late.

She was probably not up at that time. Sonia is so good she can answer
questions in her sleep!
