Big Cat

Just when I was trying to print the CARVER Pics, lot of missing lines, after
some 30 Cleaning cycles it seems to be OK, did a high res print of the CARVER
PDF file, but I then I did another nozzle check and 3 black nozzles were still
not printing, so tried more cleaning cycles but nothing improved.

So decided to remove the print head and give it a soak in Spray & Wipe, a
house hold surface cleaner, a thin liquid with a ammonia type base.

Well spayed a little in a metal boil, about a few mm/1/8" of it just to cover
the metal plate that surrounds the print head, left it for and hour, then did
it again for another hour, then just used warm water for 1/2 hour, then dried
it all with a tissue..

I also cleaned around the parking station and the head wiper rubber, found
lots of ink soaked fluff..

Put it back together with new cartridges, the old ones were empty trying to
clean, run some 4 cleaning cycles and now get clean nozzle prints..

If you know how to pull things apart and putting them back together again with
out braking any thing, it was easy to do, go to it.

Far better than going to the local printer repairer at $70nz per hour..

The CARVER Thing..

Excellent! This allways works -there are no heads that are clogged
'unfixably'.

I hope "Wraith" is reading your post.
