I've just arrived so I thought I' pop round, say hello and borrow a cup of sugar.
I know all there is to know about computers .... erm - that should read - all there is to know about getting them to blue screen, blow up or otherwise get them to stop working as they should!
If there's a level below novice then that's me so I think I'm going to need all the help I can get from you good people.
Anyway nice to see you all and there's a party round my place tomorrow night 9pm - bring a bottle

resorted to wine after hrs of trying to figure out laptop/cd rw hasmade my head go bang :confused: think i've killed it now, laptop wont even connect :(

I am still at it, tried cd rw on pc and was detected straight away, laptop keeps crashing now, although can connect using ethernet, seems more likely usb problem, if i wiggle it it goes to blue screen, not that i can see what it says as reboots lol
but i only have to move laptop and it happens.

you ok?

AK, the laptop doesn't sound too healthy. I don't know if it would be worthwhile investing in a pcmcia 4 port usb hub for about £15. That way you are bypassing the laptop ports altogether.

hi ya, its ok again now i've stopped messing about with it lol

still havent sorted the wireless connection problem though :(

Where can i get one of those, can you give me anymore info on that or a link please? ;) :D
