just installed office 2007

Before I spend hours trying to do this can I get the toolbars etc at the top
of the page looking anything like the old excel, there appears to be so much
there that I dont use and the stuff I normall use I am spending ages trying
to find it. It also takes up a lot of screen.

I accept I am just new to this version but initially I dont like it, time
will tell.

I am more likely to go back to 2003 than move on to 2010.
Maybe for the more skilled 2007 has improved but for my limited use its a
nightmare.
I had a couple of changes to make to a spreadsheet and usually could whizz
through it in 5 minutes, been at it for 2 hours now just trying to find
things.
i hate hate hate it!
 
For the average Excel user I would say 2003 offers all you need.

97 was more than adequate in most cases.

Now..........if they just hadn't introduced merged cells in 97<g>
