Welcome to the forum. I have been using Windows laptops and PCs for many years, since Windows 95 and I am considering a switch to Chrome OS. The Windows updates are forced on you and some users experience crashes and bricking after an update. I have never experienced that with my Android phone. Plus Chromebooks now have the ability to run Linux apps. I would suggest the Samsung Chromebook Pro, the HP Chromebook x2, or the Acer Chromebook 514. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is a really impressive machine, but it cost 800 for only a 10 inch screen.
