In '62 I think I had my first birthday party during which Elvis' 'Rock-A-Hula Baby' was played and all me mates came round our council flat and ate all the ham, bridge rolls and fairy cakes. I wuz 11
Well nivrip and feckit I am fatter, wrinkly and instead of 20/20 vision I now wear glasses as without them I cannot see a thing, but inside I am the same without the energy. Thinking about it I am more proud of my time as a fireman for Kent Fire Brigade (now Kent Fire & Rescue) as that was a job saving lives and just as exciting.
