I'm working with the new "tab" feature ... but every time a new window opens
it opens up as a small box which I must enlarge ... This is quite a nuisance
.... Does anyone know how to enlarge the new window so that each window will
open larger ... thank you

Set the tab properties from internet options>>general tab>tab settings

When you hit the new tab option it should create a new tab in the same
window. Please explain what you mean when you say the new window opens up a
small box.

The tabs are set fine ... it's the window that is the problem ...

The main window is full screen with results from search ... but when the new
window opens with the search result that window is extremely small and I must
either maximize it or manually resize it ... this happens for each and every
subsequent window that I open ... however the main window with the search
results remains full screen ... I never encountered this problem with IE6 ...
I hope this clears up the question ...

The problem is that you aren't closing your preferred size last.
If you resize and then close the result page window and then open
another result page what size is it? It should be the size that you
changed the first result page to but if you have other IE windows
open with a different size, especially if the other windows are not
in normal mode, that preferred size will not persist. In order for
your preferred size to persist you must close a window of that size *last*
and verify that it really was the last by checking with Task Manager's
Processes tab that there is then no task called iexplore.exe running.

BTW if you are using IE7 and you are getting search result pages
launching in new windows you are really asking the wrong question ; )
but as PA Bear notes that issue is better handled in the other newsgroup.

Thank you Robert. This is exactly the problem and have taken care of it. I
am using new windows for the hyperlinks as I prefer to keep the search in a
separate window. I simply changes the tab settings to accomplish this. I do
still miss the thumbnail previews but will certainly get use to it in time.
