Hi there,

Funny. All other Office applications have a list of specifications in the
Help. Things
like:
- maximum # of worksheets in workbook
- maximum # of styles in document
- maximum # of indexes in database

I tried to find a similar list on PowerPoint (97, 2K, XP). In the Help, in
the MS KB,
on Internet. But ... silence. Is PowerPoint the ultimate unlimited program?

Things I am looking for:
- maximum # slides per presentation (will be: only limited by memory and
available
system resources)
- maximum # of fonts
- of animations
- of shapes per slide
- of ...

Reason of my curiosity: I try to complete my educational presentation in the
same
way as my presentations on Excel, ...

Bargain: the first to send me a complete list of specifications will receive
my
presentation. 341 slides, based on PPt 97 UK and (of course) 'still under
construction'.

Kind regards,
Frans van Zelm

Yes. Max. number of slides/presentation is a factor of your computer
system. I think someone here found an effective maximum number, but it
was so large the presentation would take, like, 11 years to run or
something! LOL! You could search
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en on newsgroup
microsoft.public.powerpoint for that, if you wish.
- maximum # of fonts

No max here, either. Although Org Chart has a tendency to choke if there
are more than 500 installed on the computer. But in reality, you can use
as many as you want in your PPT presentation. That said, just beause you
can, doesn't mean you should...
- of animations

Glen (or was it someone else?), did you run into something here?
- of shapes per slide

Hopefully one of the VBA crew will have a better handle on that one.

Um, thanks. But no thanks. :-) Oh, I didn't do the complete list,
though, so no worries!
