I bought this adapter at comp usa due to the fact my new
system has no parallel port for my Zip250 to plug into
and when I got home and tried to install it it says
driver not varified by Microsoft. if you say continue
anyways it trys then just about when completed it Reboots
the syatem causing the system to do a disk check on
reboot. I have tried drivers I found tracing the FCC # of
MP8875 or the Product # of ITE-8875F I have checked and
tried both the fmi.compusa.com drivers available and the
ones I found at the ITE page. I have tried drivers all
the way back to windows 98 unsucessfully. when doing some
research i did find and article that says the Cause is :

Computers with onboard devices from Integrated Technology
Express may not work with Windows XP.When Windows tries
to perform a DMA transfer in the device driver, Windows
cannot perform the DMA transfer using the system DMA
channel (subordinate DMA). This occurs because Scsiport
is modifying a buffer address.

it said the Resolution was:

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it
is only intended to correct the problem that is described
in this article. Apply it only to computers that are
experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive
additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely
affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you
wait for the next Windows XP service pack that contains
this fix.

Can someone please Email me a link or Driver that will
resolve this problem thanks

Tom
