Windows XP Home: My friend can't get his installation of Juno 5.0 to start up. He gets the error message that it needs "common installation files *.msi". Since I was able to get Juno to run on my PC, we tried to copy all the .msi files from my operating system and put them in the same directories on his system, but it still gives us the same message. He doesn't have a Windows XP operating system CD with his system, just a restore CD. Any ideas how to give it what it needs?

Hi,

Start/run 'sfc /scannow" and allow it to check the integrity of the system
files. It should extract any missing or corrupted ones from the I386
directory on the hard drive.

Did your friend already have Juno installed and now it won't open, or was he
trying to install it and the installation gave that error message?

It actually turns out to be the second case, he can't install it... he deleted another program that apparently took some files that Juno needs, and now he can't get Juno to reinstall... it hangs at the end of the install while it's try initialize Juno... it asks for "CommonSystemFiles.msi" and he says it's looking for files in an installation package [*.msi].
