I have a new PC with XP installed, and as admin,
installed Juno software. I then created a separate ID
without admin rights for my son, yet he can't run Juno
logged in as himself. If I give him admin rights, then
he can run it.

I get the error message:

Debug Initialization
The Juno history file could not be set up because the
Juno working directory could not be found. Please
restart Windows and try again.

Any idea how to fix this?

Monica, when using software to connect to an ISP (vs an icon in Network
Connections) the program should accommodate all user types. If it does not,
this is a problem with the software. There are some workarounds that you
can try:

**Promote your son's account to Administrator. Re-install the software to
the same folder while logged on to his account. Test that the software is
working. Then return his account to limited user status. The permissions
for this one program should follow his account and he should still have
access to it.

**Install the software to a neutral folder that everyone has access to.
Example: install to C:\Juno instead of under Program Files. May need to
go into the folder's properties to give access to all users. Some folks use
"Shared Documents" for these programs since its already setup for access
open to all users on the machine.

There are other workarounds but they get a little more involved. Hopefully
software providers with programs like these will eventually get up to speed
on offering "all users" and "just this user" options during setup.

You could also contact Juno and find out what their recommended procedure
is for setting their software up for all users on an XP system. Should probably
do that first.
