Sorry but I fail to see the correlation between the usefulness of a group
and whether or not Microsoft monitors it. You make it sound like you are
addressing the Microsoft Excel Development Team, whereas in fact you are
generally addressing a group of volunteers who happily give up their spare
time to help other people get the best out of a product that we enjoy using,
albeit we also still learn a great deal from what we see in here. That
group of volunteers collectively (Whether tagged as MVPs or not), are
generally able to answer almost any question you care to ask wrt Excel,
regardless of what industry the question hails from, or what area it focuses
on. In some cases that level of expertise extends far beyond the confines
of just Excel, and it is rare indeed that a question is asked that has no
answer forthcoming from some member of the group.
In all cases though, we share the mantle of unpaid volunteers who enjoy the
cameraderie of the group, the help that we are able to give, and the
knowledge we are able to gain from what we see and do in here, so please try
and be a little more sensitive to who the audience you are actually
addressing is.
