Just what does the junk e-mail filter do in Windows mail?
I continually have to go through the junk mail to remove them and wasting
time on this. Putting the junk in a blocked sender or domain seems to do
nothing.

you can adjust the junk mail filter settings.
if you wish to stop some from getting classified as junk mail. simply right click on header and under JUNK click the it is NOT option.
also under the JUNK option there you can add domain to junk filter.

That doesn't answer the question. Anyway I stopped using it and
installed a real spam filter. Choice mail. Now I don't have to worry about
going through all the spam and deleting, blocking or fooling with it. Choice
mail does it for me. Maybe microsoft should take a hint from them.
