Greetings:

I just upgraded to Office 2003 - love it but... hate the
Junk E-mail folder and what it does in Outlook 2003. I
have Norton NIS and AntiVirus 2004 installed. Now, half
my junk mail goes into the Norton Spam folder and half
goes into the Outlook 2003 Junk E-mail folder. I would
like to use Norton exclusively for filtering junk e-mail.

Is there a way to shut off the functions of the Outlook
Junk E-mail so it doesn't, in effect, work??

TIA

Tools, options, junk email button, disable junk mail.

Thank you for your reply but your directions do not seem
to work. Going to Tools|Options|Junk E-mail button does
not supply a "disable junk mail" option. What I see in
following these steps are the following options under
Junk E-mail options in Outlook 2003:

"Choose the level of junk e-mail protection you want:
No Automatic Filtering. Mail from blocked senders is
still move to the Junk E-mail folder.

Low: Move the most obvious junk e-mail to the Junk E-mail
folder.

High: Most junk e-mail is caught, but some regular mail
may be caught as well. Check your Junk E-mail folder
often.

Safe Lists Only: Only mail from people or domains on your
Safe Senders List of Safe Recipents List will be
delivered to your Inbox.

Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of
moving it to the Junk E-mail folder."

I'm sorry but I do not see a "disable Junk E-mail" option
listed unless I'm missing something pretty obvious here.

"No Automatic Filtering" would be the option you'd need to choose. Remove
any addresses you have in your Blocked Senders list. You can always use the
Rules Wizard if you want to move messages from a certain sender to another
folder besides Junk Mail.

Jocelyn:

Thanks for your reply;. This seems to have done the
trick. I thik the other instructions were for Outlook
2002... Your directions made sense because it's what I
see in Outlook 2003.

Thanks again.
