i am using wmm2.1 to capture dv from a sony camcorder using a firewire port.
i have decent hardware(512mb, p4 2gz) and recently applied the sp2.
the wmv capture from insidee wmm works fine, but after 5 mins or so, the
progress timer on the capture preview window starts to get jumpy.if i stop
the capture and look at the captured wmv in wmp or inside wmm, it (both the
audio and video) also gets jumpy after a while. i repeated this experiment
with the preview turned off during the capture, but had the same effect.
audio/video is perfect durign the first 3/4 mins and then gets jumpy.
any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem. I have tried shutting down most of the services and
programs started at boot, thinking that one of them is grabbing processing
time, with no luck.

Please send me any solutions you receive. - (e-mail address removed) - I have been
unable to trasefr any movies to the computer since this started.

Thanks,
Jim

I'm trying to edit my roommates wedding video and i'm having the same
problem. I have two programs capable of capture, and the funny thing is,
only WMM captures like crap. I'm thinkin its just program quality. Try
using Pixela Imagemixer. It does video, trust me. If you remember back, its
actually the program that came with your sony DV cam. Shuvro, we have almost
identicle specs, so I think this will probably solve your problems. just
gonna have to take the extra step with a different program.
