hi, i want to make a spreadsheet that allows me to enter data in non-adjacent cells and jump to the next cell after i press enter. i've tried protecting the sheet and unlocking those entry cells, but i can still move into any cell with the arrow keys or the enter key. i'm using office pro for xp (2002?). i used to know how to do this in an old (very old) version, but i've forgotten. <sigh

thanks for any advice. :

Here's one possibility:

1. Hold the Ctrl key down and click on each cell that
requires entry, working backward.
2. Go to the namebox (it will show the active cell), click
on it, and give it a name like "mycells" (no quotes).
3. When you're ready, click on the name "mycells" in the
namebox, key in your first item, and press enter.

Use the TAB key to jump from one unlocked cell to next.

Assumes your unlocked cells are in a left to right top to bottom
configuration.
