Hi there group
I have a problem setting up my internal hard drives as external drives
in a ICY box 350.
I have tried numerous jumper setting but cant figure out which one is
the right one.
I have:
A 120 Gb Deskstar Hard drive (internal)
ICY box 350 USB connected
Del Inspiron 8600
I am trying to connect two different harddrives to The dell:
1. 120 Gb Deskstar Hard drive (internal) with only media on it
2. 120 Gb Deskstar Hard drive (internal) with windows installed on it
The reason i bought a ICY box is that the computer the harddrives where
in crashed and i dont know which one of the hard drives malfunctioned.
I am trying to save whats saveable by connecting the drives externally
and then copy the data to another externa Iomega (250 Gb) drive.
I have heard that there might be something wrong with the chipset in
the ICY box.
My questions are:
Can i set up the drives as external drives with the icy box ?
If yes how do i do it
If yes aht jumper settings will i need to have on the different drives
?
Thanks for all you help
Best whishes
