Does anyone know if it is possible to jump out of a presentation to the
desktop, and then return to the presentation from where you left off?
Jumping out is easy, but when I return I have to start at the beginning of
the presentation and forward to the slide I was previously on. I need
demonstrate network settings in the middle of a slide show and then jump
back in to the presentation slide from where I left off.

Thanks in advance,

ALT-TAB will allow you to toggle between all open presentations. I
recommend having the necessary dialog box open before starting your Slide
Show, then all you have to do is click ALT-TAB to bring it up and ALT-TAB to
go back to slide show mode.

Michael,

What Bill said - Alt-Tab......

But also pressing the "left most windows key" on a windows keyboard....pops up your standard "start" bar in windows. So
you can get to where you want to go today. Then click the running presentation on the taskbar.

Also if you press the "left most windows key" + "M" then it minimizes all
open apps and takes you to the destop. Alternatively press "E" to open the
Explorer...
