There are several methods for doing this, the right choice depends on many
factors.
You can hide the in-depth slides and manually jump to them during the show -
This requires knowing the beginning slide number for the hidden slides,
which will change as slides are added or deleted. Easy to do while live, if
you know the slide numbers.
You could Create a hyperlink to the first hidden slide in a drill down
section. This would update as slides are added, but will need to be run to
completion before resuming the regular show, or you would need to add
addition links on the hidden slides to jump to the next section.
You could create a separate slide show of the drill down information and
just insert a hyperlink to it. Hitting escape in that show would revert
back to the previous point in the main show. Hyperlinks may be sensitive to
moving the presentation location (sending to another computer) unless you
are careful in creating the links.
You could create a custom show within you main show.
Which of these would you like to know more about?
