This usually has to do with the '-' character in various fonts. Each
character has specifications as to how it is placed in relation to the
characters next to it. Certain fonts and PowerPoint do not work well
together. I'm certain if this is a PowerPoint problem or a Font developer
problem, but for us it is a problem!
As a test, change one of the problem text boxes to Arial and run the show -
any problems now? If this resolved the problem, you have two solutions.
1. change the font (either just the problem character or the entire text
box).
2. delete the '-' character, add spaces to take up its area and then draw a
horizontal line to replace the character.
