JPGs do not open in a new window!

When I double click on a JPG, it opens the Internet Explorer window that is
minimized and displays the image there, instead of opening a new window.

How can I change it so it opens a new window and therefore I do not lose the
webpage I am viewing??

IE>tools>internet options>advanced>scroll to & disable reuse window for
launching shortcuts.
