The TIF file is a lossless format, so it has finer detail and a higher
quality image than JPG. I always convert my RAW photo images to TIF for
printing.
However, JPG is usually fine for most snapshot photos, as long as the
compression is kept to a reasonable level.
But in the end, only YOU can decide if the quality is good enough.
