jpg files

Have received emails with "jpg" file attachments. W hen i double click on the attachment, i get the box "opening mail attachment" and request to" open" or "save to disc" instructions. When I check "open" and click, the icon for Miscrosoft Photo Editor pops up on my bottom program bar and nothing else happens. I cannot get the "jpg" to open?
 
try saving it to disk, then open the file from there...
if that doesnt work, open an image viewer and open the
file directly
i suggest getting ACDSee, as windows default image viewer
is horrible
