JPG Attachments

When I receive email with jpg attachments and click on the attachment to open
it or to save it, the windows mail greys over and stops responding. However,
if the picture is visible below in the body of the email, I can save it
without any problems by right clicking on the picture, then using the save
command.

What is wron, how do I fix it?
 
I have a similar problem. For JPG files, my default program is set to
Windows Photo Galery. If I click on the jpg attachment in the email, I get
an error message that says this is not supported. I need to save it first
then I can view it in Windows Photo Galery. If I change the default to
another program e.g. Photo Elements, photo elements will come up and show the
picture. I have a similar note also in the community but haven't gotten any
response. For now, I just save the JPG files first until there is an answer.
