jpegs in a report

I created a database for my church to handle membership and collections.
They would now like to add pictures for a printed directory. I'm by no means
an expert, so please bear with me...

I've added a text field 'fld_picture' to the membership table and there I
place the where the picture is located ... i.e. c:/church/smith.jpg In my
report I added a bound object frame and in the control source indicated the
field name 'fld_picture'. When I run the report it show smith.jpg in the
report, but no picture.

I have tried it and it works great.
