Hello
I am using xp with pp2002, photostudio 2000, my question
is when i insert a picture i would like to use the shapes
ie. a heart, but when i do this the heart is there but the
size of the rest of the photo is white, that okay but
usually i have colored background. In photstudio i can
sometimes get a color to match the background. My
question is, is there anyway that i can match the
background exactly to fill the rest of the picture which
is now a heart?ie some of the pp backgrounds that i have
used are clouds.

thanks

You can actually use PPT's autoshapes to create frames for your
pictures. Draw an autoshape -- say, a heart -- on the slide, select it,
then right-click and choose Format Autoshape. In the Fill area, choose
Fill Effects. Go to the Picture tab and choose your picture.

For transparent backgrounds, does Photostudio 2000 allow you to create
transparent areas? If so, do that, and then save the file as a PNG or a
TIF. JPGs don't support transparency, which may be part of the reason
you're seeing white areas around the shape frame in your images.

thanks
works well right within pp, don't need to use outside
programs.
thanks again
