Hello,

I am trying to solve a jpeg display problem.

At www.workingcarers.org.au the orange header block fails to display on one
PC.

Instead of the full header including title, I get an orange bar about 8 mm
in height, no title contained.

This is the same even though I try another user profile.

The PC is brand new, with all service packs and updates done.

Any Ideas?

Hi John,

I am guessing since I don't want to test this on my machine. Usually with
image display problems like yours the standard response is to Empty your TIF
(Temporary Internet Files) folder - Internet Options - General tab.

Since it is occurring on 2 different profiles you may also like to check how
much disk space you have allocated for TIFs for each profile.

It looks fine here on IE&B2p I would guess that it's his machine and that
Rob is right. He needs to empty his Temporary Internet files and then
reduce the size to 50 MB.

I don't understand your Subject then. It appears that there is no jpeg
involved, just background color and text.

<extract>
<td bgcolor="#F8C060"><span class="pathway"> You are here: >>&nbsp;
<span class="pathway">HOME </span> </span></td>
</extract>

Perhaps it is really a problem with color instead?
What happens if you press Ctrl-a
or use the Accessibility dialog to disable use of color?
(Alt-T,O,Alt-e,c)

This is the same even though I try another user profile.

Any Ideas?

Good luck

Hello,

thanks for your feedback. I have just emptied the tif, set the limit to
50mb. No change.

I then disabled the use of colour. The orange bar disappears altogether.

And still no text? Weird.

Is the text there when you do View Source?

Is it there when you do Ctrl-a,Ctrl-c and paste into a Notepad window?

FWIW I just did that. I see it between:

BTW would you please clarify your Subject if we are now discussing
the right symptom. As I indicated there is no graphic file associated with
either the color or the text of that orange bar.
