I am trying to build a db which will catalog product which we sell. I have
an OLE object field for pictures. Drawings which I have created in CorelDraw
work fine when I run a report with this field in it. JPEG files will not
display. I have installed the graphics filters from the MS Office CD. Does
anyone have any suggestions...

Thanks,

Brian

Hi Brian,

Install Microsoft Photo Editor from the MS Office CD, check and make sure
that JPEG is associated
with MS Photo Editor (Windows Explore, Tools, Folder Options, File Types).
Then try the following
steps:

1. Open the table with a OLE field.
2. Right-click the OLE Object field, and then click Insert Object.
3. In the Insert Object box, click Create New.
4. Under Object Type, click Microsoft Photo Editor, and then
click OK. Microsoft Photo Editor opens.
5. In Photo Editor, in the New dialog box, click Open an Existing
Picture, and then browse to the JPEG file that you want to insert.
6. Click the JPEG file. The picture opens in Photo Editor.
7. On the File menu, click Exit and Return to the Table.
8. Create a report bases on this table to verify.

Hello Ki Yi,

Thank you for the help.

After I installed Photo Editor the JPEG files worked fine. I did not have to
"Create New" and work in Photo Editor. They worked fine by using "Insert
Object" then "Create From File".

Thanks again,

Brian
