Hi,

Help please!

I have photos taken on a RIOCH RDC-5300 - approx 2-3 years ago - that were
originally loaded onto a Windows 98 PC.

I saved them on CD and now want to reload onto a Vista machine.

I cannot open the pictures from the CD.

I get a message 'the file format is not supported'. These are just JPEG files.

Help please

Did you try to copy them onto your hard drive, e.g. under Pictures?
Then, you can try opening them from the hard drive.

Good luck.

This can be a problem depending on the software you used to copy to the CD.
Do you remember what you used? Roxio etc? You may just need a UDF reader
obtainable for free from Roxio and install it on your Vista PC. I have not
done so on a Vista PC but have done so on a XP PC.
Do you still have the 98 PC and does it have a USB port? If so, copy the
files to a flash drive attached to a USB port and then read it from your
Vista PC. Or find a friend with a XP PC capable of reading your CD to then
copy to a flash drive and then read this with your Vista PC
