I want to begin to scan text and/or xray documents to make available from
within Access2K. I <think> I can get the files to be viewed, either by using
Stephen Leban's techniques or something else, but my question is this: What is
the best way to store/categorize the files? I <think> I will use a separate
directory under a main "Scanfiles" directory for each patient record number,
ie, C:/Scanfiles/70037 and C:/Scanfiles/45434, etc, and name each file by date.
Is there a more efficient way of doing this? I think I'll use some keyword
identifiers stored in my database to subclassify the files (lab reports, xrays,
opnotes, incoming letters, etc), so I could set up a tabbed listing of the
files. If it is better, I may be able to put things into a PDF format for
subsequent printing.

If anyone has any better or more efficient way of doing this, I'd be happy to
hear it...
